I would recommend the XO 7 Pro. They are $160 and are now on sale for $125. Here's my personal review on them... After using these for a few months now, I am extremely happy with my purchase. Honestly these are the best sounding headsets I've ever had so far. The bass is great and not overpowered. The sound is very very crisp and you can hear every angle. For those who are planning on getting these headsets, they also include an extra cable for mobile use and you will still get great sound. Comfort wise...VERY COMFORTABLE. I was worried since previous turtle beaches were very uncomfortable after long periods of gaming. It is memory foam so it keeps a nice snug fit. GREAT for canceling out sound. Not just outside sound, but also from the headset. As in if you like your sound LOUD, it cancels out the sound so others can't hear it. There are 4 settings for game volume options. I would suggest setting 3. It has treble and bass boost. If you just want bass boost, then setting 2 will fit what you need. I personally just like balance between the two. DON'T LISTEN TO THE BAD REVIEWS. "It's not 7.1 surround sound!" It is. "Terrible sound quality!" It's actually the best I've heard. Either they did something wrong or they had it shipped to them. (I never have electronics shipped to me. Too many risks) All in all, to end this review, I highly recommend these headsets to anyone either for gaming, music, or both.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I would go with something wireless with great sound. I like the stealth 420. Great sound you can disconnect the mic and use them as regular headsets. My wife makes fun of me cause I use them when I do yard work. And no they are not Bluetooth that would be to easy. All the controls are on one side and the battery life if really good. You headset receiver is a little larger than a USB drive and I have mine plugged in on the side of my Xbox one. Very comfortble no wires to walk around when he's playing not connect to the controller. I would get a headset stand to have a place to hang his headset on and it's not just laying around
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.THESES ARE EXCELLENT HEADPHONES BUT ARE NOT WIRELESS. EVEN THOUGH THEY ARE NOT I WOULD STILL LEAN TOWARDS THESE SIMPLY FOR THERE IN GAME ABILITY, ESPECIALLY WITH COD BASE GAMES
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The XO Four or XO Seven's would work perfectly.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Unless you go with a very expensive set (not turtle beach), I'd go with the xo 7 (not wireless). I had major issues with the wireless staying connected.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Depending on if he's responsible with his things...the XO Seven is incredible
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. The Turtle Beach X0 4 headphones, are really good and they only cost $100 if you're looking to spend a little bit more I would recommend the Turtle Beach XO seven headphones, the sound quality on the X0 7 headphones is unmatched by other products for the same price
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.None. They're garbage. I've spent over $200 on two sets and had problems with both chat functionality! Save your son the trouble!
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Well it all depends on how much you want to spend. For the price I like the XO Seven's. On the Xbox one these headsets are wired to the controller but wireless to the Xbox if that makes sense. For truly wireless you'd have to spend upwards of 400-500 dollars, which IMO isn't worth it. XO Seven's will be around 110 on sale and well worth the money.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's a personnel preference. I would take him to the store and have him try them out.
