Is the mic quality better when purchased after the software update? Im in the market for a new headset and this has really caught my attention, the only problem was the mic quality. The reviews say its better after the update but i was wondering that if the headset was purchased almost a year after the release of it and roughly 6 months after the update will the new headsets have a better mic quality out of the factory?

I'm not entirely sure about better quality mic from the factory, but the firmware update definitely makes a difference for the better.

I own this headset and I have had no complaints about the mic from people on xbox one. I've actually had compliments about how clear I am. I bought mine about a month ago. Not sure if it makes a difference.

I don't use them. But my husband has never had any problems with mic quality. He's big Xbox one gamer.
