“Does this particleboard product emit any VOCs, have formaldehyde, or have any odors?”

Yes it has Formaldehyde since it is made of particle board, but there is a sticker that it meets California 93120 compliant for formaldehyde emission phase 2, which is low levels of formaldehyde. Not much smell, so this is probably accurate.

Has an odor right out of the box but doesn't last long. Poor hinge design on center doors otherwise decent product for the price.

Yes, after putting the unit together recently, there was some type of chemical odor you could smell. It had several packets of something almost similar to anti moisture things found inside pill bottles. It died off after a few days
