No. And the bulb is plastic, yet the shade is glass. The bulb is two parts, a conventional bulb shaped piece and a six prong molded piece that fits inside of the bulb shaped piece, this is how the Edison bulb appearance is achieved (yes its just the appearance of an Edison bulb). The light source is permanent, a disc with 16 points of light, which is fixed to the lamp arm. I assume that because led is significantly energy-efficient it will outlast how long the consumer will use the lamp.
