“I still have the old large chassis tv,so have no idea what is meant by a Roku TV. Can someone please explain so I know whether it is worth buying?”

• The tv comes with a player built inside of the tv. You have applications that come pre-installed or you can download and use. For instance on this tv I use HBO, Showtime, and Starz. Basically, I no longer have cable. I use the applications on the tv to stream movies and tv shows. You must have internet access to use the roku player. Otherwise if you just need a cheap tv you can just use it with your cable box. Roku is just an extra element. Buying this tv saved me $100 for the Roku player I was going to buy anyway. Try googling Roku player on the internet and read about it, I love it!

• The Roku tv is WIFI control for receving feed from Netflix, Amazon, etc

• Roku TV means that it have apps. Such as YouTube, Pandora, CNN, ect. Your TV is a smart TV. Except it's from Roku versus Sony, Samsung, or LG.
