• I have a 14" on mine. It hangs over each side by a couple inches but holds it just fine.

• By design its strong enough to hold the laptop. I would not use a larger laptop on this product. But for the price if someone tried it and it didn't seem awkward...great. If it didn't work, you can pass it along and you're not out a lot of money. The swivel feature doesn't work well. You wouldn't want it to spin, but I think it would work better if the bearings were a tad bigger.
