“Can the rear camera be used on the outside of vehicle? Just wondering if it's weatherproof”

I have 2, one in each vehicle... One is mounted on my rear plate for the last 2 winter months in Reno NV, so far is still working like the day i bought it.. Other one is mounted in side rear doors of a mini van, both still working like brand new.. so yes from my experience mounted outside is ok... Am pretty sure even the description of the dash cam says you can, and mine for 2 months in winter weather still working great.. yes mounted outside is good..
