“If I dont have verizon how does this device work? I'm wanting to connect to wi-fi in an area with extremely slow internet service, but cell service is wonderful-not a normal carrier such as verizon,at&t,etc. How do I make the device work each month? cost?”

Sign up with Verizon, check their website for rates for hotspot only. I pay for an unlimited plan for my phone, hotspot service for this is an extra $20 a month.
