Verizon has two types of plans. Voice only and Voice and Data combined. Simple Bar phones can have Voice only plans, but smartphones have to be on V&D plan.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It means you have to choose a Verizon prepaid plan during set up for the phone to work. So yes it is extra on top of the phone unless you already have a Verizon prepaid account. Your choices are $30 for unlimited talk, text, and pictures with wifi only data plan. $45 for unlimited talk, txt etc with 2g of data plus always on data when you use up the 2 g high speed. Or they have $60 plan that has all of the above with 5g high speed data.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I think that means you have to have service. So one of the reload cards. If your through Verizon and have their service then your fine.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. There *ARE* people who think a phone is instantly usable once purchased. This is like buying a car with an empty gas tank YEAH, it *WILL* run, but you need to add fuel first. PHONES need to be activated to work (off VOiP)
