“I was looking at this phone for my mother. She has a pay as you go, Verizon phone..that isn’t working properly. I wanted to purchase her a new phone and send it to her (she lives in another state). Is it possible to purchase and send for her to activate”

Yes, this phone is easy to set up. I have only been a smartphone user for six months and this model is very easy for beginners. You can either set up as new sim card or transfer the sim card from the other phone. In addition, you can download the full manual from the internet as the packaging does not include an in-depth user manual.

This is an unlocked phone but a word of caution: I bought this phone, dropped it a couple times and it stopped working after 3 weeks. I didn't purchase protection plan so had to buy new phone. Samsung is a better choice for LG if she doesn't use internet. LG is basic phone but long lasting.
