• I don't know if J is for junior and yes they are on the market cause I bought mine from best buy and I do order from Amazon and they have them on line. I cant really say if their built for kids for I just bought mine a month ago and for me the price was right but this not the phone that I originally wanted. It is a smart phone. Has face and thumb recognition and quite a bit of stuff on it. The phone is slippery handling it and I bought a rubber plastic type case for it. It would be best if you go to best buy and talk with a sales associate and maybe they can tell you.

• The J7 is definitely NOT built for kids. I've had 2 and both broke being dropped just once. I also bought one for my husband and it died after falling 3ft from the arm of couch to the floor. Its really easy to use but it does seem pretty darn fragile. If you buy it I recommend getting a good case.
