- Answer no there is no adjustment for the weight or tracking force, and even the cueing is motor driven (up/down button, auto-play button)

- Answer if your speakers aren't powered, you'll need an amplifier or "receiver" to power the speakers. If the speakers are powered (think computer speakers) then you can plug this directly into them using the "line" output option and the appropriate cable (RCA male to 1/8" female for example, for computer speakers)
