My 1070ti and 6700k @ 4.6ghz gives me about 200 frames on most game I play. My brother's 1080ti does the full 240 frames and it looks amazing. If you don't have a decent 1070 don't bother.
Wizardxtras, Any video card with an HDMI, DVI, or Displayport output can connect to this monitor. To get the full capabilities out of this monitor you would need a high end graphics card (ex. Nvidia GTX 1070Ti or 1080Ti). As for you second question, this monitor will work with your BluRay player; however, I wouldn’t recommend this simply because this monitor is a TN panel. Meaning the color reproduction isn’t as good as say a TV or an IPS monitor. But like I said, it will work if this is your only choice.
