• A:Answer Plug and play. But your installer should demonstrate thatvyouvcan crank it using your car keyfob by just preesing the lock button three times. The remote starter comes with its own remote control. Hope this helps.

• A:Answer I got the basic one way added the remote start and several components - works great. Note that the key fob that comes with the basic Viper alarm is a complete piece of crap (one button sucks).
