• A:Answer You only need a remote start kit and that's all, unless you're getting the extra like security, mobile app control. If you're using it for a audio system then if factory and subs this is the wrong item and if aftermarket deck then yes. All depends on what you want to do.

• A:Answer Don't know if it's water proof, but installing it under the dashboard is probably the best way to go. Find wiring diagram online of your vehicle, pinpoint the wire from the ignition switch to the starter, and run it in line. Just be sure to hide it in a very inconspicuous spot, so someone can't just look under there and find it.
