• Yes, I currently have the Viper alarm system 5706V model on my truck the self start stopped working. I decided to upgrade and swap the cell ular module with the GOS Module, so far it has worked ok, 3 of of the 60 plus times I've tried the GPS remote start, it would not work, overall I am satisfied with the product.

• Yes you have to already have a compatible DEI remote start installed on your vehicle. This is only the smart start add-in module it has no remote start capabilities in itself.
