The Smart Start is actually a cellular device that communicates with your phone via cell signal. So it should work fine - just like you're calling someone who has an Android phone. The cell service doesn't care what the connected devices are. It should work with your Honda, as long as the remote starter or security device does. You can check with the Best Buy installer to be sure.
In addition to the cost of the device itself, you also need to pay for the cell service. That cost varies by plan, but I prepaid $169.99 for 3 year service ($4.72 monthly). Its well worth the cost.
