Yes, if you get the proper information from your current carrier when setting it up. I don't know if it's possible to port your number over at a later time after the initial set-up, you could call best buy and ask them, or you could do a live chat on your phone with their customer service. You'll need to have your previous account number, your zip code to your previous account(where you lived when you set up that phone at your prior service), and the port transfer number from your previous carrier. That's it. If you need help with that, best buy will be more than happy to help you do it, they sure helped me because I had no ideal what I was doing.
