“Every since I connected the sound bar, I hear a slight echo. Is it because both the TV speaker AND sound bar are on? If so, how do I mute the TV sound (without muting the sound bar)? Thank you.”

On both my Vizio and Samsung the answer is found in settings. First make sure that your HDMI is in ARC if you are using this kind of hook up. I had the Vizio through figer optic and the important thing was making sure that this was noted in settings.
