Plex is an app that you load onto your laptop and also on the tv and you can easily play your movies and shows on your tv, that are stored on your computer. This tv will also accept a usb device. I have only tried a small stick drive, but I don't see why you couldn't but a full external drive on it with a library. This tv does lack a browser.
