Smart TV just means you have the option to connect it to your home network usually via either wireless or an Ethernet cable. You can still connect it to any normal video source such as cable, satellite or DVD. Connecting to the internet is completely optional

Please try again later.The tv works fine with some kind of video signal, though I don't recall exactly which options there were - I think at a minimum it has a coax and an HDMI input, it may have had RCA and S-Video as well. So as long as your satellite service comes through a box like that, and you can connect it, you're good - you don't need to use the smart apps. But if you don't have internet service, of course none of those apps will work.

Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I connect via Wifi... I have Verizon Fios for my internet provider so it's pretty fast. I'm guessing maybe you need a faster speed internet. Not too sure though.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Satellite service is for television channels. Internet service allows you to to use smart apps already on the television. You need at least 20megabit download speed to reduce buffering.
