A:Answer Some products are referred to as 4k and others as 2160p. They are the same. One is measuring the resolution horizontally, the other vertically.
4k is a reference to the roughly 4,000 pixels (3,840) that are presented horizontally, whereas 2160p represents the vertical resolution of 2,160 lines presented in progressive mode (the "p").
You could also, similarly, refer to 1080p, with 1,080 lines vertically, as being 2k, as it has 1,920 pixels horizontally, and 8k as 4320p.
