“Screen blanking when used as a PC monitor.. Does anyone have success configuring this TV or your PC to properly cause the TV to enter standby (or at tleast backlight off) when the PC screen saver kicks in *and* return to normal operation when the PC exits screensaver mode? This Vizio does have its own notion of a "Screen Saver" which doesn't apply to PC usage and is rather intended to blank the screen when only streaming audio. A power-off timer feature exists when HDMI signal is lost. White this solves half of the problem, the TV doesn't power back on when the screensaver exits and HDMI video is restored. Anyone find a solution beyond the above options?”

With most Vizio as I am kind of sure with most, if you walk away and hope the screen saver keeps it on, there is a setting for timers where if there is no signal it turns itself off. You may want to turn this off as it could be the issue if not you may want to take a look at how it is set up and begin trouble shooting when you first put the SS on your computer, say 2 minutes, then wake your computer and see if the TV responds if it does then it could be the TV is just simply turning off, if not then it could be a bad connection.
