You are correct. This should be thought of as a glorified computer monitor. It does have ChromeCast built in, but it does not have coaxial in or a TV tuner. Also, you must use an app on your smartphone to control the settings on the TV. You cannot access the TV settings menu using the remote provided by the manufacturer.

This does, however, have HDMI ports to be able to connect to your HD devices, such as your cable box, satellite receiver, gaming consoles, and more.
