Does the tv talk directly to the phone via wifi, or does it have to be routed through the wireless router? IE, I had to move my wireless router into the room with the tv to set it up because the signal was weak. I'm far from the router normally. null

You have to connect it to a router to get on the internet to get full functions out of this Monitor! It is not a TV as there is no TV tuner built in.

Smart devices can be connected to the display through either a WiFi connection or by Bluetooth.  Thanks! -Randal

Unfortunately you have to use a phone or tablet via WiFi to do most anything on this TV.
