This TV can connect with Bluetooth smartphones/tablets that support Bluetooth LE for use with the SmartCast Remote. This TV does not support Apple Airplay so you won't be able to stream from your iPad or iPhone.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I am also an Apple device user so I understand your confusion. The ChromeCast software that is built into the TV is developed by Google so you're not going to have as smooth an experience going from an Apple device to this TV as you would coming from an android device. The best way to describe this TV is to call it a "Glorified Computer Monitor." It should really only be used if you are using HDMI devices as input devices, or are savvy with ChromeCast. It does NOT have coaxial in for OTA broadcasting or standard cable TV providers. The way the Chrome Cast works is you use your phone to find content to watch, and then the app(s) on your phone initiate the connection between your TV and the content provider. (This means the content is streaming directly to your TV and not through your phone and then to the TV. On an Apple device, you must use apps that are ChromeCast enabled (Netflix, Hulu, Youtube, Vudu, [there's not an easy way to know if an app is ChromeCast enabled unless you download it and see the casting symbol appear when you start the content]). You CAN'T stream content like pictures and videos on your phone directly to the TV like you would if you were using Apple's AirPlay. There is no mirroring functionality either because the TV doesn't support AirPlay. (Only AppleTV's and Macs support AirPlay.) Also, if you find a video on the internet using your phone and you want to play that video on the TV, you must use a ChromeCasting browser. I use "Video & TV Cast for Samsung Smart TV." It's a great little app that will cast most internet videos. You can find it on the App Store and yes, it does work with the Vizio TVs. This TV does not have Bluetooth functionality so you won't be able to use your Bluetooth headphones.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. It's Google Chromecast, I have only used with Android. But I'm sure it will work with IOS too. I think you can link a device using Bluetooth, never used headphones with it though. Just get the wife some ear plugs if headphones don't work
