• The 49 inch set uses a different display technology---IPS---rather than the VA on the 50 inch. The 50 inch technology will provide better contrast while the IPS panel will provide slightly better viewing angles. If you do not plan to view from extreme angles, definitely purchase the superior display technology of the 50 inch.

• Other than the 1" screen difference, I believe the difference is that the m49-c1 has a motion rate of 240 and the m50-c1 has a motion rate of 360.
