• Similar but not the same. The M series is better, because of the refresh rate and the M series has more local dimming zones.

• The D series appears to be a model created specifically for holiday sales, with that being said. There are some missing features like one less USB generic remote 120Hz vs 240hz on the M.

• Yes, they are similar though I think the D65 is slightly better TV than the M series.
