“Are the internal SMART apps software upgradeable or do you have to buy a new TV each time youtube changes software?”

• It updates by it self as long as you have the tv on a network

• Every time you upgrade your TVs firmware, (which is automatic if you connect it to the internet) it will update some of the apps too. Or, you can go into the Visio/yahoo App Store and select apps to update. Worse case, if you get an app that won't auto upgrade you can delete it and reinstall it. You can also delete the annoying apps that come with it to reduce the app clutter.
