• the pic is better than sony and Samsung ,remember vizio developed the 4k ultra upscale device .have tested all 6 major brands vizio is the best and has the brightest clearest picture by all most 49% difference,i have a vizio 80 inch tv and its absolutely fantastic.also you must buy an advanced oppo dvd playrer that is adjustable up to this TV's resolution.

• I don't have a samsung or sony 80" to compare directly but we watch 720 and 1080 over the air channels, blurays and 4K netflix content and every picture comes through great. I spent some time looking for a site on how some people calibrated their picture settings. Once you get it configured how you want it, the picture looks flawless.
