Hi - Yes, the built-in answering system of the VTech SN5147 can be set to pick up between 2-6 rings. Here's how you can change the # of rings. 1. Using the cordless handset, press the MENU button. 2. Press the arrow down button to scroll to Answering sys, then press MENU. 3. Press the arrow down button to scroll to Ans Sys setup, then press MENU. 4. Press the arrow down button to scroll to # of rings, then press MENU. 5.Press the arrow up or down to scroll to your desired setting, then press MENU. Thank you, -VTech Support
