- Answer adlervillanueva - We apologize but you cannot use the Intercom feature on two CM18445. One main console cannot communicate with another main console on the same line. We recommend that you use one CM18445 and expand the system with either CM18245 (Cordless Deskset) or CM18045 (Cordless HS) in order to use the Intercom feature. The main console is expandable up to 9 devices. Thank you! - VTech Support

QuestionWe have only two lines, is it possible to change the number of rings on line 1 before it rolls over to line 2? currently it will only ring twice before it rolls over to line 2. Thanks in advance for any help

QuestionOur Shop Phone CM18445 with three CM18045 handhelds and a CM18245. We have 3 lines & 2 phone numbers. Followed the Instructions in the User Manual for CM18445 to set up the Voicemail. But the Phone keeps ringing, switches lines & never goes to Voicemail.

QuestionCan I use the phones without a phone line for internal use only. I was thinking about these for my house but did not want a landline service. ALSO how many digits can the extensions be? Are they able to hang on the wall?

QuestionWe have 4 business lines through Comcast. With our current phones line 1 & 2 come in on the same line and are plugged into one port and line 3 & 4 come in on the some line and are plugged into the same port. Will the CM18445 phone system work with this?

- Answer Thesoundguy - You can connect two VTech CM18445 on the same line but they will work as a stand alone phones. They will not communicate with each other. You can turn off the answering system on one of the main console so they will not interfere with each other. Only one answering system can be used at a time. We recommend that you get one CM18445 and 1 CM18245 accessory cordless deskset or CM18045 accessory cordless handset. The main console can accommodate up to 9 extensions. Thank you! - VTech Support

- Answer Ron - The VTech CM18445 has a Do not disturb (DND) feature. You use this feature to silence your console. You will not receive any paging call and you will not hear the phone ring for incoming call or intercom call. Instead, the LINE 1-LINE 4 indicator flashes to signal an incoming call and for intercom call, the extension number of that intercom call appears on the screen display. Thank you! - VTech Support

QuestionThe ringer on this phone is extremely loud. I turned it down to the lowest setting but it's still loud and it reverts back to the highest setting. Maybe I'm doing something wrong. Any suggestions on what could be done to lower the ringer volume?

You may adjust the ringer volume of the main console by press +/VOL/- when the unit is not in use, then press MENU/SELECT to save it. - Answer Hi - We are sorry to hear that you are having an issue with the answering system of the VTech CM18445. The built-in answering system has 180 minutes maximum recording time of all extensions. The actual recording time depends on individual message characteristics. Each message can be up to three minutes. Please make sure that some of the old messages, if there are any, are deleted to make way for new messages. If this does not help, like many electronic devices, a reset may resolve the issue. You can reset the console by disconnecting the power for a minute. Reconnect and test. If the issue still persists, please contact VTech Customer Support for further assistance at 1-800-595-9511. - Answer Bobby - The feature you are referring to is the Auto Attendant feature of the VTech CM18445. The Auto Attendant allows the callers to be transferred to a system extension without the intervention of an operator/receptionist. This feature also allows callers to reach a live operator/receptionist by dialing a certain digit/s. You can also record your own Auto Attendant greeting. Thank you! - VTech Support

QuestionWe are in need of 7 phones but am not sure the "desksets or mobile" phone will connect from office out into a warehouse. Walls are not cinderblock but typical walls in between. Will one main console and 7 desksets with 1 or 2 handheld phones work .

- Answer Hi - Yes, you can expand the VTech CM18445 system by adding a combination of only up to nine devices (cordless handset, cordless deskset, cordless headsets and cordless speakerphone) only. The cordless headsets are registered only to the main console. Once registered, you have an option to link them with the console, deskset or cordless handset. As cordless headsets rely on other stations within the system to make outgoing calls, linking them with other extensions allows you to make a call handsfree. Thank you! - VTech Support!

- Answer Hi - Yes, you can record your own personalized greeting on the extension deskset (CM18245) compatible with the VTech CM18445. Here's the procedure on how to record your announcement on the private mailbox of each extension deskset. To record the announcement on the CM18245: 1. When the deskset is not in use, press ANS SYS. 2. Press ▼ to scroll to Settings, then press MENU/SELECT. 3. Press ▼ to scroll to Mailbox On or Announce only, then press MENU/SELECT. 4. Press ▼ to scroll to Anncment setup, then press MENU/SELECT. 5. Press or to scroll to User anncment, then press MENU/SELECT. 6. Press MENU/SELECT to start recording. Lift the corded handset or face the deskset to record your announcement. 7. Press MENU/SELECT again to stop recording. You hear the playback of the recording. 8.
