• Hi - Here's how you can turn off the call screening feature of the VTech CM18445 for the answering machine to silently record incoming messages. 1. Press Menu/Select on the telephone base. 2. Press the arrow down button to scroll to Ans Sys Setup, then press Menu/Select. 3. Press the arrow down to scroll to Call Screening, then press Menu/Select. 4. Press the arrow down button to scroll to OFF, then press Menu/Select to save your setting. Thank you, -VTech Support
