• NOTE: THE VIDEO STREAMING WORKS ONLY IF THE DOORBELL UNIT IS CONNECTED TO THE POWER SUPPLY. That is, the doorbell unit camera will not work for streaming video if the doorbell unit is operated only on batteries. With batteries alone the doorbell unit acts just as a regular doorbell (can be connected to your existing doorbell wires). To replace the batteries you pull off the doorbell camera face plate. There is a retaining ring under it which holds the faceplate on.
