QuestionCan this doorbell work with a cell phone?

- Answer This camera does not connect to an internet Wifi and so doesn't connect to any cell phone. As stated before, it should be bought with the V-Tech IS7121 phone, which is a cordless phone.

QuestionHow do you replace battery in doorbell unit?

- Answer Doozi - You would need to remove the screw located at the bottom of the VTech IS741 Doorbell and then insert a flat-bladed screwdriver between the doorbell and its wall mount cover to pry open at both sides. You can then replace the batteries with new AA batteries. If you have other questions, please contact VTech Customer Support for further assistance at 1-800-595-9511. QuestionDid not get adapter to plug into power source. Where can I get an adapter so I can plug in to power source ? Also should I be using rechargeable batteries once I plug in ?

- Answer Direct sunlight will impact the quality of the displayed image. Also, operating temperature has a maximum of 120F degrees. so heat may be a factor.

- Answer This camera does not connect to an internet Wifi and so it doesn't connect to any cell phone. As stated by others, the doorbell camera must be bought with the V-Tech IS7121 cordless phone (which can be used as a standalone home phone, not necessarily in connection with the doorbell camera). On the phone handset there is small screen which shows the streaming video from the camera when someone rings the doorbell. NOTE: THE VIDEO STREAMING WORKS ONLY IF THE DOORBELL UNIT IS CONNECTED TO THE POWER SUPPLY. That is, the doorbell unit camera will not work if the doorbell unit is operated only on batteries.

- Answer mama - IS741 accessory doorbell/camera works with VTech IS7121 Cordless Phone/Video Doorbell system. The doorbell, when pressed, makes a wireless connection with the IS7121 cordless handset. You will hear a chime and be able to see who's at the door by looking at the handset screen.

- Answer This doorbell is made to be an add-on to the Vtech - DECT 6.0 Cordless Phone System. This system comes with one camera doorbell, but is capable of expanding with a second. Please see my product recommendation for the required phone system.
