QuestionI have two cameras with one parent unit. Both rooms have a sound machine and the parent unit continues to pick up sound. But no babies are actually crying. What should I do to fix this?

- Answer Hi - We are sorry to hear that you are having issues with the VTech VM4261-2. You may adjust the sound or VOX sensitivity on the unit. The higher the sensitivity level is, the more sensitive it is in detecting sounds from getting transmitted to the Parent Unit. We also recommend that you try relocating the sound machine or the baby unit, preferably away from each other for it not to pick up sounds. Hope this helps! - VTech Support

QuestionHow do you mute the monitor? I press the volume down all the way and it does not mute.

- Answer Hi - The volume on the VTech VM4261 can only be decreased to a certain level. The parent unit will only be muted when on Split mode or when broadcasting. Thank you, -VTech Support

- Answer It can only be decreased to a certain level. The parent unit will only be muted when on Split mode.

QuestionIs there a way to set the unit up that it will automatically go to the camera that is making the noise? Or do I have to leave in patrol or split screen?

- Answer Rocky - The VTech VM4261-2 will not automatically go to the camera where the sound is detected. Instead, when on split view mode, the parent unit beeps and displays Sound detected at CAM # whenever the baby unit detects sounds. Thank you, -VTech Support

QuestionPanning makes minute, instantant adjustments possible. But when tilting, there is 3-sec delay after pressing the button before camera begins to tilt. After, button tap will move it, until you have to reverse Direction. Then 3-second delay applies again.

- Answer The split screen is great you can have 4 cameras in different rooms and be able too see everything very clear this split screen helps you keep a better eye on more then one room at a time

- Answer Hi - The VM4261 is a non-expandable unit thus you cannot add another device to the system. We do not have a video monitor that can have more than one parent unit. You may check the audio monitor model DM222-2, which comes two parent units. Thank you -VTech Support

QuestionWe recently purchased this product. Does this not have a time display? I don't see it anywhere on my menu options. I'd rather be able to see the time than the temperature or play music!

Questioncan you have more than one monitor screen for a single camera so that if we go back and forth to different rooms we can still see what the camera is showing? I know we can get multi cameras but have not seen add-on screens/lcd's

QuestionJust want to clarify on another question someone else posted... so when in split screen mode when you have 2 cameras, you don’t actually hear crying if one of the babies is? It looks like the parent unit will only beep? Does it beep more than once? Etc..

- Answer You don't hear right away but it will sound an alert and then switch to the camera where the noise is detected. I believe that is optional.
