Yes you do need a computer, you can use some sketch paper and pen draw and save it to the pad but eventually you’ll have to connect to a computer to download.

To paper sketch no you don’t need a computer as the sketch will be saved to the memory of the pad, however the final answe would be a yes you’d need a computer and or laptop.

Yes in order to save the file or layers of the image separately. Without a computer it is a really expensive clip board. Now you could buy the expensive one with a screen but with that cost I would just buy an iPad.
