- Answer The computer/laptop shouldn’t matter. I use some high end software (ZBrush Core) so I’m not familiar with software for young kids. However, it takes some good hand eye coordination to use these (Intous line of products). I am about to switch to a Wacom Cintiq that lets you write/sketch/create directly on the screen. They are more expensive but much easier to use. Good luck! John

QuestionI like that you can use just the tablet or the paper function. With the paper function, I've read you can use any paper as long as it is in the drawing space. Is this correct? Do you have to use a specific pen/pencile to draw with? Replacements?

- Answer Thank you for asking. The Pen side you will need the special pen compatible for Paper mode. As for the paper, as long as you have the paper anchored in place and not loose you can use your own paper, you just want to make sure the paper is not moving around as you will loose the sync between the digital input and the paper.
