“How hot does the outside get when the fire is on? Also, how do you turn the fire place on? Is it a simple switch on the front? We have a 2 year old so want to make sure on these two items. Thanks”

Hi! This is a great question. The unit heats at 89.6 degrees. Its output in BTUs is 4400 BTU. To turn on the fireplace there are switches on the front. I understand the concern here wanting to stay safe; the heat is from a COIL heater and is blown out by a fan inside the unit.
