• Hi Bill, Thank you for your question! Good news, the shelf can easily be removed! Bad news, your subwoofer measuring 15" deep will not fit with the doors closed unless you were to cut a hole in the back to let in more space, or leave the doors open-- the depth measures only to 13-7/8".
