Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later. You don't have to. There is a minimum fill line and a maximum fill line. I usually fill it almost all the way up to the max line. You have to compensate for oil displacement when you are filling it, so that is why the max line is not all the way up to the top of the fill container. On the same note, you also have to have a minimum amount of oil in the container to coat the food with oil.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes I fill the tank to the max line, with no problems.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.I personally like to keep my oil at the max line.Seems to make it maintain temp when putting more than a couple pieces of chicken in. Also have learned if you are frying a battered food...use tongs to put in an already dropped basket to decrease the sticking.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, to the fill line or whatever you are deep frying may not submerge in the oil and cook properly
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes. Since the baskets don't do all the way to the bottom of the fryer (heating element is there), filling to the Max line provides enough oil to cover the item you are cooking. Sometimes I add a little more if the items are small.
