- Answer Hi MKCB- Model # PYE22KMKBES is compatible with Advanced Filtration System Filter RPWFE. The ID chip on the filter detects when a wrong or non-genuine GE Appliance part is used. If this happens, the dispenser will not work and the display may read "Leak Detected". The unit uses radio frequency identification (RFID) to detect leaks and monitor the filter status. QuestionI just purchased GE Adora refrigerator which uses the RPWFE it’s been less then 2 months and I have gone through 2 filters I do have soft water so why do these plug us so fast at $50 each the water dispenser is really useless.

- Answer I don't think we have the same GE refrigerator model number. I ordered this filter because it matched the one I removed after the " replace filter " indicator light came on. We draw filtered water frequently but every 8 months changeout may be an option if you don't use very much daily. Just have to put up with the light being on. Your option.
