A:AnswerWater filters do not have an expiration date. As long as a filter is kept dry it will have an unlimited shelf life. We recommend changing the water filter every 6 months (depending on how much water is used). ^CP

A:AnswerYes change the filter they told me the filter would be good for six months however the filter it comes with had the same thing. So I went out and got a new one. I actually Called the best buy I bought it explained the problem, the told me to bring it in and they replaced it. took all those issues away.
