A:Answer I don't think so, in most instances. I am confident most 9 year olds could master the mechanics; but, having raided 6 kids, I doubt that most of them, at least the boys, would have avoided playing with it. When the pressure is fully cranked up on the floss, it could at worst mar an eye; at best cause water everywhere. I suggest you wait until at least early teens.
