• A:Answer As far as I know these drives do have the factory 5 year warranty based upon the date of manufacture. WD retail sold drives generally have the 5 year warranty with them if they are the WD BLACK series. It is true that there are some WD Black that don't have the 5 year warranty, but those are because the computer resellers or repair shops buy those from a distributor and not a retail store. Whenever I install a drive like this I always do a check on the WD website under the warranty checker and I print out the return information after I put in the Serial # for the WD Black series hard drive. I have never seen a store sold WD Black drive that has not had the 5 year warranty.

• A:Answer As long as that Sony can physically fit a 2.5" hard drive, it should fit. From what I can tell, this drive should fit/work. Keep in mind if you opt for the 750GB or 1 TB model. they're 2mm thicker than the 500 GB counterpart.
