Hello Cjnavarro1, Please know that WD Mainstream Desktop is a storage drive and has 3.5 Inch form factor and tested and designed for Windows and Mac computers. Please check with the PC/Laptop vendor whether the WD drive will fit and support the host device. It will most likely fit you HP Pavilion Desktop computer, and you will either need to use special software to transfer your operating system and files from the old hard drive to the new one or do a fresh install of the Windows operating system your computer is licensed to run.
