Yes, but in a desktop computer one has a standard bay for a 3.5" drive, one needs to purchase an adapter since standard SSD's are 2.5" drives. I purchased an adapter when I inserted mine into the desktop.
Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.Yes, all SATA compatible SSD (solid state drives) work on desktop and laptop computers with SATA capability. Laptops will typically just fit, since they come standard with 2.5” drive carriers. Desktops however will require a 3.5” to 2.5” drive bay mount. All SSD drives are 2.5” and almost all standard desktop computers use 3.5” drives. Some desktops already have the drive bay 3.5” to 2.5” carriers in them, but if your system came with standard 3.5” drives, you will need to order one. Look at SIIG or Startech products, they are most common that i buy.
