Sorry, there was a problem. Please try again later.This is a SSD so there is no RPM. RPM means revolutions per minute and in order to make a revolution, a device must have something spinning inside. An SSD has no moving parts which makes it more resilient to accidental bumps and drops on the floor. Comparing speeds between this SSD against a fast-spinning HDD with 7200 RPM, I would have to say that on a practical level - transferring files and such, I get roughly 4 times faster performance when reading from the SSD (500 MB/s vs 125 MB/s) and roughly 15 times faster performance when writing to the SSD (500 MB/s vs 35 MB/s).
