• Yes, I've loaded Ubuntu and Redhat on them

• Yes, it supports Linux; I'd also add that it supports VMWare as well that contains MAC, Linux, and Windows operating systems. Most issues occur in formatting, an issue more specific to MAC than Linux.

• you will need to format the drive to get it t work but i dont see why it would not
