If you are asking if all the data and personal info from the old hard drive will transfer automatically to your new hard drive, that is a no. However you could easily copy it to the new hard drive with them both hooked up at the same time, or you can also get a cable that allows you to connect your hard drive through usb (forget what it's actually called) and transfer it that way.

Just use a format utility, most, even built in ones can re-write zero's over all data on the drive so it can't be put back together, even by the Goverment. Literally. Go to your format utility and use the most encrypted data removal option it offers... Very simple and WILL work! Hope that helps!
